Digipak- Autographs
I am planning on filling the extra panel with hand written autographs from the band members, to provide my audience with more personal/intimate information. This will also grab the attention of big Coasts fans as they might not already have their autographs. Instead of writing the autographs myself and making it obvious that the autographs aren't real, I asked a selection of males to write one for me, pretending they were the band members of coasts; Luke, Ben, Ian and Jordan, then I selected the most successful ones. By doing this I'm making each autograph individual.

Length of Shots
One point that was made in my focus group was to shorten the length of this shot, I agree with this comment however a problem has occurred when editing it. It would change the synchronicity of the clips, my edited extracts wouldn't match the pace of the song. The only way I could fix this problem is to fill in the gap with another clip after adjusting the the length of the previous shot, however i can not do this because I don't have enough footage. Therefore i will be keeping my video the same and not make any changes.
Exam Time
Exam time is a new website I found and I have never used it before. It allows you to create online software, such mind maps and flash cards. It's really quick and easy to use for a basic design.

Focus Group planning
My focus group is taking place on Thursday 12th March. I have asked four students aged between 17-19 to take part, as this is the age of my target audience. The plan is to discuss my ancillary product first, then play the music video with feedback at the end.
Questions
- What genre do you think my product belongs to?
- Is my ancillary product ( advert and digipak) easy to read?
- Does the design work well?
- Do you like it?
- Does seeing the advert in a magazine grab your attention and make you want to purchase the digipak?
- Is the design too minimalist? Do you think more information needs to be provided on the extra panel, such autographs?
- Can you identify a connection between all of my media product?
- Do you think i should remove the tree time lapse located in the middle of my video?
- Can you suggest any improvements?

Magazine Advert- Final Draft
I made some small last adjustments to my design, one being the star rating. I felt that something was missing in the central area of the advert, by adding the star rating I have filled in this gap and made the title much more eye catching as the stars underline the text. I'm very pleased with my advert design as i believe it has everything it needs to promote the song and also fits in well with the indie genre.

Adjustments to magazine advert (second draft)
One main point of improvement that was brought up in hot desking was the white text at the bottom needing to be more prominent as it didn't contrast against the image, making it hard to read. To solve this problem I created black squares under the text, emphasising the white as black and white work well together. I experimented with other colours too, such as the blues and purples from the image, but they didnt produce the same outcome as the black, and I felt that they wouldnt stand out to my audience. Also black was the favourite colour amongst my peers when i asked for their opinion.

Digipak design- first proof
After creating my first proof i have decided that i don't want to include the bench image on the back cover. It is ideal because the track list can fit around it but the quality of the image is a lot different to the other images, therefore doesn't work well. I tried editing it to see if that changes anything but its doesn't, so I'm going to experiment with other images to see which has a better outcome.
Advert design- first proof
Above is the first proof of my magazine advert. The are some adjustments and added extras I would like to include, such as a star rating, iTunes logo and record label, which will follow the conventions of a typically advert. i have chosen the same image that appears on the front of my digipak, so that my audience can easily make a connection with both the advert and digipak. Overall I am happy with the turn out, however i feel that i might have to adjust the white text as its slightly overpowered by the image, blending in with the lighter colours on the bottom half.

Test Shoots
Second Idea
Using a similar set up as the opening shot in my music video, located at Knettishall heath, only this time it will be shot at night to fit in with the song title 'Tonight'.

The Moon
Before
After
At the end of my music video I planned on having a shot of the moon, to show what the group are looking at. However when filming the moon I found that my camera didn't capture it very well, making the distance look further away than it actual was. Because of this I experimented with cropping the shot, zooming in so that is fills the frame more.
